High Impact Fiberglass Partial Dentures

Many studies have showed advantages of fiberglass reinforced composites over other type of materials ; this is why FRC have recently begun to be used in dentistry.

Classical dental bridges are made of metal alloys, covered with dental porcelain or with composite or acrylic resin. One of the disadvantage of metal-based dental dentures is that in order to cover inesthetic metal components a deeper preparation of the abutment teeth was needed, which implied the loss of valuable dental tissue,so this is one of the important reason to go for high impact fibreglass partial dentures.
